As Logistics Manager, I handle Adult Day billing and invoicing, transportation management for the adult day participants that need transportation to and from the program, volunteer recruitment and training for Buncombe Adult Day and procurement of supplies for all of MAP.
After journeying through Alzheimer's with my mother and then beginning the Alzheimer’s journey with my mother-in-law, I realized the importance of the support that comes from a person-centered Adult Day program.
I have learned so much since coming to adult day but one of the biggest lessons is that whether we are 75, 85 or 95 as human beings we all want to be seen and valued.
We can learn so much by listening to other people's life experiences and every minute I can spend talking with one of our participants makes me thankful that Adult Day is a part of my life. Adult Day Rocks!
