Buncombe County Adult Day Program Manager
Role
As the Program Manager for Adult Day Services in Buncombe County, I have the privilege of leading and supporting an incredible team that provides meaningful daily programs, compassionate personal care, and social connection for older adults who wish to age in place. Just as importantly, we support family caregivers by providing peace of mind, respite, and the ability to continue working while knowing their loved one is safe, engaged, and valued.

Why do you work at Mountain Aging Partners?
I work at Mountain Aging Partners because I believe every older adult deserves the opportunity to age with dignity, purpose, and connection. I'm passionate about building a community where no one ages alone and where caregivers know they have a trusted partner walking alongside them.

What's one value or lesson you've learned from the people we serve?
I've learned that the smallest moments often have the greatest impact. A genuine smile, a listening ear, or simply taking time to share a conversation can brighten someone's entire day. Human connection is one of the most powerful forms of care we can offer.

One of my favorite quotes is by Helen Keller: "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." It reminds me that the best outcomes—for older adults, caregivers, and our community—happen when we work together.
